Job description

 

Glyne Gap School and College is an 'Ofsted outstanding' special school for pupils aged 2 to 19 who have severe or profound learning disabilities. Most pupils have additional needs, these include autism, sensory disabilities and physical disabilities.

The School and College are fortunate in having an exceptionally gifted staff who have high professional standards and a strong sense of fun and enjoyment.

 We are seeking to employ additional Teaching Assistants to work with our students to implement student’s educational, personal care and therapy programmes.

It will be essential for the successful candidate to work both as part of a team and to have individual initiative.

 

Hours: -

31.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.30pm)

or

30 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.15pm)

 

This position is term time only - working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks paid annual leave.

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018. The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

Pay: £12.85 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 31.25 per week (can be some flexibility)
