Glyne Gap School is an 'Ofsted outstanding' special school for pupils aged 2 to 19 who have severe or profound learning difficulties. Most pupils have additional needs, these include autism, sensory disabilities and physical disabilities.

The school is fortunate in having an exceptionally gifted staff who have high professional standards and a strong sense of fun and enjoyment.

We are seeking to employ 2 Teaching Assistants – one for our Nursery and one for School, whose role is to act as part of the class team, following the direction of the class teacher, to implement children’s educational, personal care and therapy programmes. It will be essential for the successful candidate to work both as part of a team and to have individual initiative.

Hours: -

31.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.30pm)

or

30 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.15pm)

 

Term time only - working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks paid annual leave.

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018. The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

College Catering Assistant


Job Description

Hours of Work:  11.45 am – 1.45pm, Monday to Friday - job share will be considered 2/3 day spilt
To support the provision of meals which are cooked by our school cook from the school’s kitchen.
Tasks:
·         Collecting the meals (served into distribution boxes) from the school kitchen
·         Transport them (in a school car) to the college site in Dorset Road
·         Serve the meals to students from the college kitchen
·         Wipe down the college kitchen
·         Return dirty plates, cutlery and serving bowls to the school kitchen, where they will be cleaned by the school catering team
      Rate of pay:  £12.65
      Statutory requirements:
·         Driving license
·         DBS – school can undertake the check

College Gardener

Position: College Gardener
Location: Glyne Gap College Dorset Road Bexhill
Employment Type: Part Time – 6 hours per week – Term Time Only plus 2 weeks
Rate of Pay: £12.65 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

Hours of work to be negotiated.
Glyne Gap College is seeking an enthusiastic reliable Gardener to join the team.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining the colleges outdoor garden space, ensuring it looks welcoming,
and is safe and well – kept.

Key Responsibilities:
Working with our students in small groups to:

• Maintain the lawn & hedges
• Plant, prune, weeding and water as required
• Operate and maintain gardening equipment
• Ensure pathways and outdoor areas are safe

Requirements:
• An interest in working with our students and staff (we have some raised beds in which we
  would love to grow some produce)
• Reliable, and self-motivated
  Statutory Requirements:
• DBS – school can undertake the check
